About the Program

The Fenton Massage Therapy Institute (FMTI) offers a 775 hour Massage Therapy Certification Program that exceeds Michigan’s licensing requirements. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and empower future massage therapists through compassionate, science-based instruction and hands-on clinical experience. Students learn to integrate professional technique, anatomy, pathology, ethics, and business knowledge to prepare for the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx) and Michigan licensure.

● 700+ clock hours of professional training

● Hybrid learning model: Online Study and Materials + In-person Instruction

● 100 supervised clinical hours at Fenton Massage & Skin Company

● Small class sizes for personalized instruction

● Preparation for MBLEx and Michigan state licensure

  • Total Program Cost: $3,900

    (includes tuition, materials, and registration fees) Flexible payment plans are available for all students!

  • ● 18 years of age, or 17 and a high school senior on track to graduate

    ● High school diploma, GED, or proof of expected graduation

    ● Completed application and admissions interview

    ● Government-issued photo ID

    Total Hours 775

  • Upon completion of the 775 hour program, graduates will:

    1. Receive a Certificate of Completion in Massage Therapy.

    2. Be eligible to sit for the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx).

    3. Apply for Michigan Massage Therapy Licensure through LARA.

    Graduates may pursue careers in spas, medical settings, private practice, or wellness centers.
